Emergency Generator – USDA FY 2008 Water & Sewer Replacement Project

• Status: 

• USDA has determined the purchase of an emergency generator for pump station power outages is an eligible expenditure.
• Bids were opened on July 8, 2010.
• Two bids were received.
• The Borough Solicitor has reviewed the bid documents and concurred with RV&W recommendation to award the contract to Cummins Power Systems.

            USDA Water and Waste Application:

• Status: 
• Pre-Application has been submitted to USDA for review by Triad Associates.
• At present, USDA is offering 30% grant and a 70% loan @ 2% interest for 40 years.
• Triad following up with USDA. 
• RV&W has proceeded with the preparation of the USDA required Preliminary Engineering Report and Environmental Report on the anticipation of USDA’s invitation to submit a full application.

            FY2011 NJDOT Trust Fund Municipal Aid Program:

• Status: 
• NJDOT has notified the Borough of their request for “State Aid FY2011” applications.
• Borough may wish to consider re-submission of the FY2010 Application for Phase 2 Park Boulevard Bike Path or choose a new project.
• Applications are due August 13, 2010.
• It is recommended the Borough make a decision no later than July 14, 2010 in order to meet the filing deadline.
• RV&W has submitted a proposal dated July 1, 2010.
