Engineering Report

Borough of West Cape May

            USDA FY2003 Water & Sewer Replacement Project – Remote Water Meter Reading System:

• Status: 

• Construction is underway.  Five hundred ninety-six (596) or 75% of the meters have been installed.   Four hundred sixty-seven (467) meters have been tested and are presently readable through the remote reading system.  

            NJDOT Municipal Aid: 

• Grant application has been approved by NJDOT in the amount of $143,000.00.   Work included reconstruction of Sixth Avenue beginning at CR 607 (Bayshore Road) and proceeding easterly.

• All work has been completed.

• Contractor has submitted a request for a Change Order to reflect “down time” due to the investigation of the existing storm drain.  NJDOT has requested additional backup information to support the claim.  Contractor is gathering information and will submit to NJDOT.

• Project close out will follow NJDOT review of the requested Change Order.

            Park Boulevard Bike Path:

• Close-out package, with the CFO certification, was sent to NJDOT on February 23, 2009.  NJDOT approved the close out package on March 30, 2009.  The Borough will be receiving the remaining 25% of the grant monies.
