Emergency Generator – USDA FY 2008 Water & Sewer Replacement Project

• Status: 

• USDA has determined the purchase of an emergency generator for pump station power outages is an eligible expenditure.
• Bids were opened on March 18, 2010.
• One bid was received.
• The submitted bid was reviewed and determined to be a “conditional bid.”
• Remington, Vernick & Walberg has recommended rejection of the bid and to re-bid the Contract.
• Project was re-bid with bids to be opened May 13, 2010 at 10:00 A.M.

            USDA Water and Waste Application:

• Status: 

• Pre-application being prepared by Triad Associates.
• Tentative schedule
• Pre-Application Submission review to be completed week of May                       10, 2010.
• Invitation to Submit Full Application  – May 28, 2010
• Full Application Submittal – June 30, 2010
• USDA Review of Full Application – June 30, 2010 to July 30,                               2010
• USDA Grant/Loan Offer – July 30 to August 30, 2010
• At present, USDA is offering 30% grant and a 70% loan @ 2% interest for 40 years.
