MINUTES OF BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING
June 1, 2009
The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of West Cape May was called to order by Mayor Kaithern at 1:00 PM. The Open Public Meetings Statement was read by Mayor Kaithern who then led those present in the flag salute. Mayor Pamela Kaithern, Deputy Mayor Peter Burke, and Commissioner Ramsey Geyer answered roll call. Also in attendance: Borough Deputy Clerk Kate Kilian and Borough Solicitor Christine Cote’.
RESOLUTIONS:
114-09 Authorizing Award of Contract for Remote Read Water Meter Installation
The above referenced resolution was unanimously approved on motion of Commissioner Geyer, seconded by Deputy Mayor Burke.
115-09 Approval to Submit a Grant Application and Execute a Grant Agreement with the New Jersey Department of Transportation for the Park Boulevard Bike Lane Phase Two and Three
The above referenced resolution was unanimously approved on motion of Deputy Mayor Burke, seconded by Commissioner Geyer.
COMMISSIONERS REPORTS:
Commissioner Geyer stated that he attended the D.A.R.E. presentation at the West Cape May Elementary school and was impressed by the presentation as well as the 6th Grade students that attended. Commissioner Geyer stated that D.A.R.E. officer Tony Genaro should be recognized for his fine efforts. Mayor Kaithern agreed that a certificate of recognition should be presented to Officer Genaro.
PUBLIC PORTION: No one wished to speak
There being no further business, a motion was made by Deputy Mayor Burke, seconded by Commissioner Geyer, and carried unanimously by the Board of Commissioners to adjourn the meeting at 1:06 PM.
